The Finance & Accounting Intern will support the mission of the WCDC by assisting with invoice and expense reporting, budgeting, and other administrative tasks, as needed.
This role is a part-time, hourly position that may require attendance at some WCDC staff and committee meetings and events.
Type: Part-time, temporary internship, not to exceed 25 hours per week, flexible start/end dates, available to work Fridays, at least initially.
Compensation: $15/hour
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Help prepare invoice and expense reports for the WCDC and related entities.
- Perform research for budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Review financial documents and journal entries for accuracy.
- File documents.
- Provide administrative support to the organization, as needed.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this internship is enrolled in a post-secondary program with a concentration in finance, accounting, or related field. Candidate must be proficient in Google and Microsoft Office Suites, including Word and Excel, and have excellent analytical and interpersonal skills. Candidate must be detail-oriented and have the capacity to handle sensitive financial information professionally and discreetly.
